Have been spending a few nice weeks at home in Stockholm. I can’t really remember a autumn with this kind of weather. Crisp and fresh air all over.
Now its time to hit the road again. This time Shanghai. Since i last saw Stan in New York he has made the finals in St Petersburg. Im really looking forward to get to Shanghai and start working and focusing on tennis again. Shanghai Rolex Masters is without any doubt one of the absolute best organized Masters 1000. Ive got great memories from Shanghai winning the title there in 1999 on a Monday final vs Marcelo Rios and in 2000 in another Monday final vs Sjeng Shalken. The tournament was a 250 back then and played in another venue. Same tournament directors. The have made an amazing job with the tournament!
The only thing which i find difficult to find in Shanghai is calm roads for running:).. I will give it another try this year around! Speaking about training i have been through a period with not so much training now. Season is over for us amateurs and I’m sort of trying to get organized for next year. Still haven’t decided what Ironman race to do but will do that within days. The only race I’ve entered so far is the Stockholm Marathon that i will be doing with a few friends next summer.
The construction of the new home for Good to Great Tennis Academy is also running as planned. With the new facilities the academy will have opportunities to expand and enhance the high performance program. The goal is to open the facilities in Q3 or Q4 in 2017. It will be an open facility for all people to use so looking forward to see you through the gates at some point!
Time to board the plane to Shanghai. So long!
